Coral Transplantation

Here some video about coral reef restoration trough coral transplantation. I found them at youtube.com, but unfortunately I lost one video “Coral Tray 3″. If one of you find that video link, please inform us through comment form.

The first video is coral reef restoration through coral transplantation on Duka Bay, Medina, Philippines.

concept of using cement blocks as substrates for the transplanted corals had been in the author’s mind for a long time, the opportunity to realize the project did not come until the owner of the Duka Bay Resort, Mr. Ernesto Pelaez, himself an environmentalist, aired his concern over the damaged coral reef system of the coast of his resort area. Discussions over what to do with this damaged environment led to a small tryout of the concept, which will not be described in detail . . .

    Hi,
    I made this video from our project in MALDIVES. I have got coral trays 3 and other related video. The use of cement block is much less effecient than with the trays presented.
